Marbella
Marbella is a place that consistently draws admiring glances from other resorts. It is a town that can be ultra-exclusive for the rich and famous while also affording the Average Joe and Joanna their chance to hob-nob with the elite in a way that just couldn’t happen in Monte Carlo or St. Tropez.
Golden Mile
Nestled between the beautiful Mediterranean coastline on one side and the La Concha Mountain range on the other, the New Golden Mile is one of the most popular residential areas on the Costa del Sol.
Puerto Banús
Puerto Banús is an upmarket resort located six kilometres to the south of Marbella which was built by Jose Banús in 1970. The resort began as a marina with a shopping complex and has become one of the largest entertainment centres on the Costa del Sol.
San Pedro de Alcántara
A tranquil town epitomising “traditional Spain”, San Pedro de Alcántara is relatively unknown on the main international tourist agendas and is quite content to stay serenely under the radar. San Pedro de Alcántara is located between Puerto Banús and Guadalmina, just to the west of Marbella.
Benahavís
The most beautiful town in Andalucía? It’s some boast, but Benahavís might just well be. Tucked a few kilometres inland between Estepona and San Pedro de Alcántara, this quaint and picture-perfect pueblo is considered the gastronomic capital of the Costa del Sol, home to some of the finest restaurants found anywhere in southern Spain.
Estepona
Quite tangibly Spanish, Estepona is at the same time surprisingly sedate. The approach to Estepona from the east is all dramatic twisty roads, luxurious hotels, and sumptuous beach clubs, while its backdrop is highlighted by one of the coast’s tallest and most striking mountains.
